WOYWW 216 - Change of desk...

As my main desk hasn't been touched since last week (the heat has sapped what little strength and creativity I possess), here's my lap desk...

Each day, I'm taking time to read, and make notes on, this book. It's a Lenten retreat book, but it fits so well with the soul work I started in Janet Conner's Check the Box course.

And I'm writing in this beautiful handmade journal made by Sharon of Beauty Bound Books in Edinburgh. She also has an etsy shop, and she offers personalization... Rather than my initials, I requested this to be printed on the spine...

... as I'm using it for my morning meditations :)

Now, I'm hopping over to the Stamping Ground to see if all the creative peeps gathered there managed to be crafty in the heat wave...

Till next week xxx

'Be Still' is just a perfect choice to put on your journal. We so need that stillness and peace in busy lives. It's then that we hear what really matters. Happy WOYWW. Julie Ann x #17

Nice..sitting quietly is a great antidote to great heat, and the beautiful notebook makes it irresistible to actually do something huh!

Hi Claire
I think what you are doing with your reading, writing and meditation is an amazing thing because it takes so much commitment to be able to do it.
I would love to do daily meditation but my health can change one day to the next which makes it so difficult to achieve
Sending hugs on WOYWW and hope you have a great week

Well done, Claire. My prayer for you would be that you will sit in the presence of our Heavenly Father and discover so much of His love for you.
Take care.

Me again. There seem to be two Claires really close together this week - and the numbers are moving a bit - so not sure which is who - Yes, if this was yourself, 60Kgs got left behind in Wales - BUT 300Kgs got through - a big team this year, with a really good luggage allowance!!!!!

Reading, writing and meditating is not that easy to do. But so important.... love the words you have chosen for the spine.

Its great that you take time to read every day. I love books. Although that addiction is quickly being overtaken with crafting :-)
