WOYWW 217 - Still sunny and humid...

But here's my desk as of Tuesday. It was actually too hot to sit in the sun, and the pages of my art journal were blinding, even though they're off-white!

If you enlarge the photo, you'll see a housefly on the bottom right... No idea where they're coming from, but they're pesky and all over the house! We have all windows and doors closed, but still they come...

You can also see the Lionheart magazine I'm offering as a Giveaway :)

I've put a button on my right sidebar, or you can scroll down to the post underneath, or just click on the link above on the word Giveaway. Do leave a comment - just a 'Yes, please' is enough - and I'll put your name in the hat, so matter where in the world you are :)

Looking forward to visiting more desks than I managed last week, so I'm off to the Stamping Ground...

Till next week, when it'll be August
 - eek!!

I'll grab my swatter and we'll have us a fly swatting party. I think flies are annoying critters. Though we are having a wasp problem, so I'd rather have the fly. I also left you another comment about your giveaway. Have a great week. (((HUGS)))

Flies - who needs them?! The stupid things get in and no matter how hard you try to show them the door/window they never want to get out!!! I think we are in for a cooler day where I am so hope that glare has died down on your journal pages and that the fly has departed. I left a comment on the mag! have a good woyww! Julie Ann xx

Flies have a way of sneaking in when you enter the house. And they breed like, well, um, flies!

I am really impressed by your giveaway. Nice not to have to walk through hoops for a chance to win this beauty.

It's hot as anything here, too. Even the rain didn't cool things much. And humidity is beyond comfortable, too. Hope you get a reprieve soon.

OOPS. I got so used to NOT leaving a number, I forgot I'm now #2.

Hi Claire - it's raining here today so I'm catching up on a bit of crafting. It's lovely to see the sun but a bit frustrating when it stops you doing what you want to do. Have a good week. MMx #42

We have followed the sun on our journeys this past week so yesterday was the first rain I've seen for a while...and it was bliss! But we were so lucky to enjoy all the warm weather...I mean, no rain! In Wales! In the summertime! Yeehaw!!
Thanks for dropping by already!

OMG! I try very hard not to be the Ugly American and rag on my adopted country, but honestly, ever heard of SCREENS? And do not pipe up and say net curtains work to keep out flies, they do NOT. Seriously, it is the ONE THING about living in the UK that drives me MAD every summer. I HATE FLIES. Phew - got that off my chest :)

On a lighter, brighter note, I love that mag cover drawing. The mag sounds nifty and while I don't usually enter giveaways I may have to do this one!

Happy WOYWW!

Yeah houseflies can be quite bothering. I had that problem once - the cat tucked away a dead mouse! Well at least one fly found it, and we had a great amount of flies in the house....
Your desk looks so nice an clean, very different to mine :-)

Not sunny in the NW of England but still quite warm. Just rainy - probably because of all the hills surrounding us.
Do you think the flies may have laid eggs and they are hatching? Just a thought but no idea how you would cope with that.
Just read your bio - you are an inspiration to us all.

Hugs, Neet 19 xx

I'd love to sit in the window like that to work, but I am easily distracted, plus the sun would always be too bright for me. Fortunately we have fly screens on all the windows, but a few rogue bugs still make it inside! Kate x #18

I've heard that if you tack a baggy full of water with a couple of copper pennies in it the flies won't come past it into your home. My friend swears by it! Happy WOYWW!
