This week's Inspiration Avenue challenge is all about art and words...
I know a picture is supposed to be worth a thousand words, but sometimes words add a further dimension...
I've always been highly verbal, and losing my speech after the stroke in 2007 was devastating...
But I was lucky and it slowly returned after many hours of patient speech therapy... At first I spoke with a Scandinavian accent - an unusual, but not unheard of, phenomenon - but this past year, I've come back to sounding just like 'me'...
So words are very important to me - as is art! - and I was determined to participate this week. I got up even earlier than usual (admittedly, hubbie's snoring was a contriubuting factor!)...
This is so not what I intended to create, but here it is...
The stamp is from my Teesha Moore stash and basically says it all... Click on the photo for a close up to see the words more clearly...

It may not have been what you originally planned (I've found art seldom does come out that way), but it is an absolutely beautiful IA entry this week.
Lovely words to remember and a vibrant, interesting page. Thanks for the visit from IA
As artists, we do make the world a prettier and much peaceful place, don't we? Thanks for stopping by :-)
Hi

This is a wonderful submission! Great use of colour, words and images - love the pencil!
I always think it is the art that doesn't come out as planned is the best art. It comes from the heart.
Yours is beautiful, love the poem.

What an awesome stamp!
And your doodling and illustration
are perfect too♥♥♥
this is a lovely piece. So often what I start out creating becomes something else.
Congratulations on being this weeks showcase winner. x
Great challenge entry! I love the images & wonderful quote. Congrats on winning the showcase this week!
That's a great quote and perfect for the challenge. Whatever your piece was supposed to be, this is intriguing. The colors and the blotches/splotches give a pretty focus.
The colors you worked with are lovely, the whole piece has a sort of soft focus that is so appealing.
