Inspiration Avenue Challenge - Poetry

As soon as I saw this week's theme, I knew I had to find enough energy to participate...

Sadly, what I produced with was not as stunning as I envisioned in my mind, but I hope you get the idea...

I adore this poem by W.B.Yeats! Here's a close-up of the first stanza...

And my interpretation of the line: 'Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold...'

You can read the whole poem here; and as a bonus enjoy the amazing Joni Mitchell's interpretation...

PS Do join in my giveaway to mark my 100th post and my Mum's birthday!!
I'll draw the names on Tuesday morning and announce them on the Virtual Coffee post  :)

I'm pretty certain this is the first time I've been to your blog, but I am totally impressed. Even though it was a difficult thing for you, you found the energy to give this challenge its proper due. The colors and poem are all so nice, and your take on it shows your heart and spirit. I'm off to check out the rest of your blog.

After spending a lot of time readimg your blog, I finally realized I had been here before for IA. Why I didn't realize that before, is beyond me. I guess it's because it was during the time I had the same problems you had with the comments. Mine finally healed itself the other day, so now I feel at ease with Blogger.

I really LOVE your Virtual Coffee Tuesday posts. They read like a lot of fun.

The poem, use of colour, line and texture really brings the work together.
Just love Joni!
Must download her albums for my iPod, I only have them on tape ( sad huh? Not even on vinyl!)

I did follow your link and read the entire poem. I love poetry, but somehow this one affected me negatively. I must be the only one becuz everyone else loves it. To me it was a little frightening. Well, guess it's just me. Perhaps I'm not spiritual enough. :) Hope you are well, Mz. Claire. xo

Your great two page spread fits the challenge so well. I'm glad you were inspired to create something. I like the challenges as they push me a bit.
