Well, how could I miss this challenge???
I adore art journalling, and this was the perfect nudge I needed to get on with a new journal...
I bought the basic pieces several weeks ago - front and back covers, and two packs of pages - from 7 Gypsies... they arrived in several packs unpunched, and you add your own bookrings - THE perfect book-making kit for the one-handed :)
The beauty of this 'binding' is you can add and remove pages as you wish...
This is a page I'd made pre-stroke from another book, which was landscape 5x7, so I just punched holes down the other side to make it fit this new 7x5 portrait format...
Here's the tags front and back...
Sadly, I can't make such little, intricate tags any more, but I can stamp and stick, so on a blank page from the same older journal, I made this page today showing some 'Favourite Things'...
I just love this bookring format, not only for the flexibility of adding and removing pages, but mainly for the fact it encourages playfulness - it's not a 'proper bound book' - it's just a place to make images and to express yourself...
I can't wait to see what the others have been creating this week, so I'm heading over to The Inspiration Avenue... while keeping half an eye on the tennis - Andy Murray's level 5-all in the first set against Marcos Baghdatis...
Life is good :)

Oh what a great idea for an art journal! Are those pages you got from 7 gypsies strong enough for watercolor & mixed media? (i glued pages together to do for my art journal challenge)And I like the flexibility the loose pages will give too! thanks so much for your posting! :D
Very nice art journal !!
thanks for commenting my blog !
Wonderful pages and tags. Making an actual book is something I haven't tried yet, but am really looking forward to doing. The rings are a good idea.
I'm always so amazed at what you can accomplish using your non-dominant hand! Thank you for your comment on my Frida pages. She's one of my favorites and I am impressed by her dedication to her art also. The quote about being "broken", not "sick" is thought-provoking. There is a big difference between the two, but people don't always see it.
I so love your blog and admire your strength. The second picture I noticed that you have some of the stamps I love as well! LOVE LOVE your pages!
Stay inspired my bloggy friend.
Hugs!
Kim
I thought I was already following you, but now I am for sure!
HUGS!

Great pages & beautiful tags. I love the 3D multi texture feel of your Favourite Things page - it looks great!
I think the ring binder journal is a good idea. I can imagine it would be useful because when creating on a page you can remove it & work on it flat. You can also avoid getting paint/glue on previous pages by removing and working on your chosen surface.
Great entry for IA challenge.
Kat :-)
I love this kind of journal. Simple! That's me! :D
