The weeks are evaporating at a rather dizzying rate, and here we are in August!!
This week's prompt is Hues of Blue, and I decided to make another still-life arrangement as I had done for the prompt Green...
But, I wasn't at all happy with the composition, so I drew this instead...
Is she melancholy or lost in prayer? I'll let you decide...
See you over at Sally's Studio Sublime for more blue hues :)

She is beautiful! She seems to be very peaceful, so I would say she is being thankful in prayer!
I love your still-life - you have a wonderful collection of blues there. And your little drawing is beautiful - I think she looks very peaceful.
Think she looks a bit like a nun wearing a whimple so I would say lost in prayer!
Nice drawing. She does look rather prayerful.
Lovely drawing, a talent I wish I had.
Beautiful drawing, she looks peaceful to me!!
I like the sill life; the shades/hues of blue are awesome, but your drawing is amazing. I say she's 'blue',...she's sad to leave her loved one behind.
Your still life is great but your drawing is fabulous. I can really see the emotion in her face. I have always admired people who can draw. That is something I don't do very well.
Perhaps she is meditating on being melancholy?
She is lovely nonetheless
i agree with Patty...I think she is meditating! Great post!
If I could draw like you, I would never do anything else. I think she is trying to figure out what to post for next week!
Oh, she's lovely! Simply lost in thought is what I'm going to say...great blue post!!
Your still life is beautiful, Claire. You are so skilled! And I love your blue still life - what a fantastic idea, to gather items together in an artful composition all in blue (my favorite color!). :-)
She's beautiful and very at peace with herself - praying or meditating or even dreaming... Love your post!
She is beautiful. I will say she is deep in prayer. She looks happy and peaceful. Thank you for sharing her.

I prefer to think lost in prayer. :) Beautiful images as always.
