What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday No. 154

Inspired by Julia's night shot last week, this is my desk last night... imitation truly is a sincere form of flattery :)

I'm busily beginning a collage for this week's IA Challenge Art with Heart... I'm really not a 'heart' person - in terms of the ubiquitous heart shape - but I'm a big art-with-heart advocate :)

Here's a close-up...

My intention is to write/print this poem in the centre:

life is a garden,
not a road
we enter and exit
through the same gate
wandering,
where we go matters less
than what we notice
~ Bokonon ~
I love the deep wisdom of this...

And I think it's a fitting first piece to put in my stunning Nellie Wortman book, which I bought with my birthday pennies :)

You can see a few more pages in yesterday's coffee post...

Where I also share how the eye laser stuff went last Wednesday...

Thank you for all your lovely comments and good wishes last week, and I hope to globe-trot around many more of your desks this week :)

Come and join the party over at Julia's Stamping Ground...

Take care till next week xxx

That book really looks fascinating and the page you're working on should turn out beautiful. This by the way is said by someone who does love heart shapes. A. Lot. ;-)

Hi Claire

I want to thank you for the lovely postcard I received from you as part of the Postcard Swap. It is such a pleasure to receive something hand made and in real mail!

(I used to live in a village called Greetham, near Oakham when I lived in the UK. Nice to receive something from a place I know and have seen!)

Well done with the laser stuff...why are Drs like that to people when they feel vulnerable? Makes me seeth. Shh, I thought the Sky Arts thing was a mistake! We too have Virgin, for similar reasons - so it is a fab treat!!
Love thebook..you are good to start in and use it straight away, you'll get so much pleasure from it.

I, too, love the wisdom of the little poem.... most people don't notice the little things in life...or if they do... don't appreciate them. I love the little things...

may I just also comment on the recovery you are making ... and say .."good for you". My sister had a fall, serious concussion and is still dealing with residual brain damage after 9 years...it has been a struggle for her. She is my hero. What a trooper with the physical, emotional and mental aspects of recovery...it is a long road ...and nobody can do it for you. You seem to be doing a great job ...and I hope your persistence pays off in every aspect for a complete recovery.......

You dazzle and amaze me. What a wonderfully strong person you are. And what a pleasure to "meet" you. I'll be popping back in very soon.

Love your desk, Claire, bathed in such a warm glow! Your book is beautiful - had a look at the other pages in your previous post. So sorry to hear about all your health problems. It makes me very angry indeed every time I hear of some ignorant doctor treating his patients like that - as if we aren't suffering enough, without them adding insult to injury...

Your art is amazing, despite your disability - I am not sure that I could learn to be left-handed and continue to do such awesome work. Your long struggle is having its rewards and nothing can kill one's creative imagination! Keep up the good work! Thumbs up all round.

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog - my hubby won't see his card till his birthday on Saturday. As for the Saxon hoard, we both live in hope lol!!

Happy WOYWW,
